New posts = Latest posts (top right of page) doesn't it?

Snags, that can be very fast moving though. I mean 'new to me'.

What I'd like is to click on a topic and see an icon alongside each thread that indicates if I've read it or if new posts have been added since I read it.

I often find myself clicking on the same thread several times when I have no interest in it but the thread title is ambiguous, such as 'Help!' so I don't realise I've read it already.

I would also like a thread to open at the last post I read - a big ask but it can be done.
