If you could do whatever you wanted what would you do? You can choose the weather but you have to stay in the country you live in,so no hopping on a plane for the day.
Would it be at home in your garden, or out for the day somewhere? Nice food? Just chilling at home watching tv?...... Whatever you want.......
Having quite a nice day today. The sun is shining and the gardener has just paid his first visit of the year so everything is looking spruced up.
I was rather gob-smacked when he introduced me to his new assistant. He's about 23, has a full bushy beard, and his hair in a bun..........in fact almost a dead ringer for the new John Lewis man.
Late May, perfect sunshine, at home. A lie in, followed by long walk in countryside with OH and dog, lunch at real ale pub. No midges or dog poo anywhere along the way. Then maybe taking a boat out on a river. Cream tea. Home for a soak in the bath then visit from closest friends for evening of wine and silliness, maybe playing Trivial Pursuit or something. Phones would be switched off all day.
A walk in the countryside with our Wolfhound friends, all the hounds roaming safely off lead and then in the pub beer garden for a good pint and a nice meal.
This the one we went on in 2012 St Patricks day, ours hounds are wearing the green bandanas around their necks, A great day!
Crickley Hill? As in just outside Cheltenham? Bloody hell, Ratter, that's one of our favourite walking places. Will look out for Wolfies in bandanas in future
Breakfast at Wategate Bay in Cornwall, helicopter to Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons for lunch, afternoon spent wandering around Cotswold's antique shops, dinner at Tamarind, helicopter to Edinburgh for a nightcap at The Vaults before heading to bed at The Balmoral Hotel.
