Is there any way people could attach photos to their questions so that if there is something they particularly want to find but they can't describe it/don't know what it is called, they can put a photograph up?

This has no doubt been asked previously, but I can't find anything when I look.

Thanks.

I'm practising

my dog Megan

Indie - do they do nice cream teas in your quaint little village?

FP - Megan looks really cute!

Northumberland by the look of it.
very nice and much less self-promoting than I had feared. okay, here's veralynn  - hope it works

I've seen that pic before. Not sure where, not sure when.

Indiesinger: what camera are you using? Think it might be time to ditch my 2.5mp

Thank you very much, Indie. This should be the view from my bedroom a few moments ago Home.jpg

holy zmoke, zmudge, where are you, Greenland? MargeB, the photo was taken at Chelsea yesterday (yes, yes, I got the classical allusion) - first time the pensioners have had a garden at the garden show on their own territory.
jno - I watched that too, it actually made me cry!

Indie - please - what is the name of that pub or the garden nursery in your village picture? I'm sure we've been there before & the suspense killing me!

The pub looks like ? Cow of course - but what is the full name?

she wasn't actually singing, smudge, at least not out loud, they were all just singing along quietly (shouldn't think they've got the voices these days). There was a young woman there doing the actual performance but I didn't bother getting her in the frame. More fool me if she turns out to be someone famous herself.

if any one goes shopping can you buy me these please? they'd look lovely with my new skirt.

jno, i'm saddened by your lack of faith in us.

It's sunny here today for once!

see how carp my camera is? Indiesinger, let's swap for a while. That dandelion really wowed me.

MargeB - an Olympus C750 (10x optical, 4x digital, 4mp).

smudge - the pub's called The Black Bull and it's Northumberland's only thatched-rooved pub.

smudge - Click

Thank you for that Indie - we've never been to Northumberland, but your village looks like a beautiful place. I must be thinking of when we stayed in the Cotswolds - it was equally as lovely.

jno - I didn't mean 'singing' made me cry - it was listening to all the old soldiers telling their stories about being away in the war & the thoughts of getting back home to Blighty to start work on their allotments. They did say they thought of beer & women too mind - bless 'em.!

IndieSinger, you've really started something here. This is my first attempt, so I hope it works:

One last thing though, if any of you could advise me (sorry, I'm so computer illiterate, I can't find instructions on ImageShack, although they're no doubt there somewhere!): how do you shorten the name of the link to what you want it to read instead of what ImageShack says it is? For instance, FP had 'my dog Megan' and look what I've got above!

If I can finally master the whole thing, I can post a question I've been wanting to ask in Home & Garden!

Well done dmsjps! That's your first link successfully posted!

The feature of naming the link isn't part of ImageShack, it's something you do within this site when pasting your link. The easiest way to do it for now is by doing the following:

1) Paste your link exactly how you did above. When you hit <return> ("Enter"), you'll notice the whole link turns blue, like this.

2) Next, use your mouse to highlight the whole link so that it looks like this.

3) Now, just type a word over it. The link will disappear, but don't worry! You'll notice that your word stays blue until you press <space> or <return>. If it doesn't, you've gone wrong. Type the word without making any mistakes - if you press <backspace> ("Delete"), you'll need to start over again from point 1. Let's call our example "Congratulations" like this.

That's it! You have your link in your post. Congratulations!

IndieSinger, you're great, cheers!

IndieSinger is a winner & a very clever chap, if I knew just where he lived, I'd go & pat him on the back!

Smudge is like fudge,

Sweet and tasty,

It's hard to find things,

That rhyme with tasty.
