Flowers on a fig?

I have a nice brown Turkey fig tree in a pot. I get about six figs a year and very nice they are too. BUT I have never seen any flowers on my fig tree, just suddenly tiny figs appear. So...do figs flower and if so when and what do the flowers look like? and if figs don't flower, where do the tiny figs come from??

Still filthy weather but leccy is holding up so far. Have a suitcase of dirty washing from daughter and I would rather hang it outside wet, than leave stinking dirty in house. Can't be bothered to do the shopping, so is it jude who works in Sainsbury's - could you bring me a weekly shop please?? Oh I feel quite chipper today.

Hi jno, I have also posted to puss from our new abode, offering an apology if I jumped to conclusions about things.

Meanwhile, talking about pussies, MrG didn't do the wee collection this morning so it was left to me. Ginger pussy wees to order, so I took him outside told him to wee and he, as usual, did his thing, with me holding a Vitalite lid under the appropriate orifice. So the deed is done. (Being nearly blind, he isn't secure enough to go outside and wee on his own, so we take him out and stand with him telling him he is a 'good boy' and he always wees - and they say you can't train cats)
