Hi ,a few weeks ago a lot of trees were cut down in the garden next door to me.In all fairness a lot of them were badly decayed ,so only a few conifers remain amd lots of ivy .I filled my bird feeders up two weeks ago and they are still completely full .I hardly see any birds now even though ive still got trees in my garden .Will they return eventually ? Thanks for any replies.

Yes they are wary creatures and that sort of upheavel will make them shy for sometime. Once the get used to the changed landscape things will be fine
I think they will return gradually, the more common garden birds at least, anyway.
They are probably feeling vulnerable with the lack of cover, so it may take some time for them to get used to it.
Some birds that feel at home in denser vegetation may take a little longer.
All you can do, I think, is to keep the feeders going to lure them back.
Good Luck
