Thanks to tilly for flagging this up..... let's hope the transmitter has just stopped working, and nothing has happened to our bird - but we may never know.

If she has died, one way or another, then at least we have enjoyed her for a few months, her wonderful mother's 50th chick, and she has made an incredible journey to West Africa at only a few months old.

Let's keep hoping that we might see her again at Loch of the Lowes in the spring (her and her amazing mother).

It is very sad. It highlights what precarious lives these birds have. We should treasure each one.
Sad news if she hasn't survived, Boxy....let's hope it's a transmitter problem.
Having watched her hatch and grow and fledged makes it all the more poignant, doesn't it?

She's our baby!
It does, Tilly....and it's never easy for them...but all is not lost yet. Maybe we will welcome her back next year....fingers crossed...x
Fingers and feathers crossed.
You'll have to wait a bit longer Boxtops, she won't be back next year. Young Ospreys don't return for two or three years after migrating South. Let's hope it is a transmitter failure

That's true, milvius, I remember reading that. Hopefully in the future, then!
