proceeded to fly into my polytunnel!

I walked down to see if he was ok and and he flew away leaving his mid-morning snack. I placed the unfortunate dove on the muck heap and low and behold the Buzzard came back and collected his snack!

All the birds have dissappeared and the cockerel has herded his harem of hens into the chicken house. Such a clever boy he is. Even though the Buzzard would not be able to get them as they are under netting but even so. Nature is cruel yet wonderful at the same time.

Definately a Buzzard. Saw they whites if his eyes he was so close. We have a family of them here.
If you have an abundance of Wood Pigeons/ Doves, the Buzzards will be back again as they will be good food for them.
Any other Raptors about such as Sparrow Hawk, Kestrel etc ?

We have sparrow hawks here but we dont see them often. Mainly the buzzards rule the roost here. We also have a lovely barn owl that nests every year in the sand school with his partner.
