So I duly phoned the satellite unit from Perth College to enrol in the evening class for Beginners Spanish at a cost of £65.
I then discovered that due to my OWN personal income being less than £22k I would receive an annual grant of £200 funded by the Scottish Government towards the cost of learning something new. (ILA Scotland)
What a result.and a great initiative dont you think ;)
Don't go there Dris - reminds me of Big Sis' love with needlework. She was turning out quilts like her life depended upon it. I mentioned it to a 3rd party and they bought her the DVD of How To Make An American Quilt - thought it was educational ROFL
I got my ILA pack through the post this morning - thinking of doing some sort of computer course. You can also get up to £500 for more advanced qualifications.
ttfn -pmsl -tell ya you could write a book on your memoirs.I would buy it ♥
Karen -I was really surprised when I phoned to book myself on the course and they told me about this.Ive enrolled and just waiting on my number to come though but it certainly works as it has given me the incentive to look to the bigger picture as we can claim annually.Think I would be tempted with a Computing Course next time -good luck -let me know how you get on.
Starting from the very beginning is a very good place to start. At least you have no bad habits to unlearn! Being a Perthshire native myself I can't remember a lot of demand for Spanish conversation in Crieff and Comrie. Do you have some ulterior motive in learning? Exotic travel to Machu Pichu, financial wheeler-dealing in Santander, or a dishy waiter in the local tapas bar?!
