I don't know if anyone remembers but I put a question on last week regarding a rescue dog we were about to get, well... I thought I'd let those kind people who were of great help know that she arrived yesterday and she's a real joy! I can't believe how good she is. She's about a year old and had no training at all but she's so calm. Fingers crossed she'll be as much of a treasure as Jetspoon was.
Thank you all... xx

Well done you for giving her a home xx
I echo NM's sentiments. Great to hear of happy endings (or should that be happy beginnings?) [:o)

Best of luck for the future. x
Brilliant masma - welcome to your new home Coco xx
and from me too - bedtime for me, nite all (again) ♥
Just checked back masma - all done in 5 days - fast or what. Glad that Coco and you didn't have to wait any longer. Calm - just you wait till she has settled in a bit! But calm will do nicely for now - shows she is not anxious - I think you will all do just fine.
Thats great news masma! x
we have had a rescue dog for about 5 years and she is still so grateful and so obedient and we would not be without her for the world. I hope she brings you much happiness, they just want a loving home and to "belong" to someone kind.

Thanks all for your wishes...ttfn... mmmm I think calm might have been the wrong word. In saying that she is a little treasure - she's sticking to me like glue at the moment, my son has already tought her to sit and lay, fingers crossed we can get her to walk without pulling my arm off!!
Thanks again xx
That's lovely masma. At 1 year she will be right for training. Done gently she will just see it as more attention and love. I feel quite envious of you! Nice to have a shadow again isn't it masma? x

Yes indeed it is! Although... in her later years "The Spoon" liked to be on her own for much of the day. She really was a delight to have as part of the family though xx
My old rescue boxer was a bit like that. Don't know why I bothered to make the bed at all - she used to unmake it when I had gone to work. At lunch time I would open the front door, call her and wait for her to (reluctantly) get out of bed to come downstairs. I would kindly remake the bed for her. After work was a repeat procedure. She would keep me company in the evening but always beat me back upstairs for night time! Those were the days. How is Coco enjoying the warm weather?
Everyone should have a rescue dog - far too many have to be put to sleep because of the perceived "kudos" of having a breeder's pedigree mutt. Pedigrees are like made-to-measure suits, i.e. bred to order. Rescue dogs are overwhelmingly made homeless for any old excuse, and lots lose their lives as a result. Wish I had room for more than the two I've presently got.

Good on you - hope you and your little treasure have many rewarding years together.

Coco is loving the sunshine - we were a bit worried about her over heating because she's all black (with a white nose and socks), She follows the sun round the house and if she gets a bit warm she finds a cool spot. Her best place to sleep is outside on the garden swing! Our next adventure is dog training classes ;-) xx
