The other day after reading a post about street maps I looked up my house, in the left hand top
corner there was a icon of a head with glasses on, I clicked on it and the picture went into
3D mode. the reason I am asking this is because I looked on "maps" today & the 3D icon
seems to have vanished has something changed or am I doing something wrong?

It's been coming and going for a little while now, I think they are still experimenting with it.

Thank Chuckfickens, I thought I was cracking up!!
Hello sprayer,
When I noticed this I rummaged about and found the Ch4 cardboard 3D glasses.Well, it didn't look very good,so either the glasses were wrong,OR Google Maps 3D wasn't right.
As they seem to have removed it,I am inclined to the latter.
I have no doubt they will bring it back in due course.

Thanks for your reply Mr.Veritas, as I said they seem to have removed it in the last 2
days, I think the 3D was in red & blue where as I seem to remember Ch.4 was in red & yellow so it would'nt work anyway.
No sprayer,
I the have glasses here, they are red and a sort of bluey/green.
It wasn't the colours,it was the fact that the Google overlapping images were not in synch that seemed to do it,this is what they may be sorting out?
those CH4 ones were rubbish even with their own broadcasts
You have to have red and blue glasses for it to work...

I would hazard a guess that the only reason they change the image colour from say
red/green or red/blue and so on is so you have to keep buying new glasses.
