i know they have been trying to get me to use the newer version every time i look on google maps but i prefer the old one as in my job places are sometimes hard to find so i like to use the street view individually so i can look at specific landmarks along the route to help, so my question is, is there any way i get get the older (think they call it classic) google maps back on my system

I prefer 'Bing Maps' to Google, give 'em a try if you haven't already.
I notice this has been posted on both "internet" section and "technology".

will do. does bing use street view?

On the 'Birds Eye' setting it has a 360° view option that I prefer to Google, unless I want to look in peoples windows.
has Google maps changed? Street view still seems to be working except when someone's demanded that their street be removed (which appears to have happened in my street)
