Just been cuddling my cat, he has an inoperable tumour, got to the stage where he doesn't really want to be touched, but purrs when he is, bless him.
Final decision time next week I think, can't let him go on like this.
No question, no answer expected, but know that all on A&N would understand x

Sorry slinkycat to hear that. It's never an easy decision but it has to be done. Been through it myself with my dog. xx
I fully understand. That is one of the reasons, though not the only one, why I have never kept a pet. You become so attached that you think they are almost human and grieve at their inevitable loss, given the lifespan of dogs/cats to people.

Bless you jan, not been on here for a while, how are you?

Mike yes it is so sad, but I would get another cat like a shot, as the saying goes, it is better to hve loved and lost than never to have loved at all, and I think that goes for all relationships, furry or otherwise!
Understand slinky, its heart breaking, have lost my two in the last 2 years. Big hugs xx
Hi jan btw;)
I'm ok slinky. I couldn't even think of getting another dog for at least 3 years after I lost mine. Then moved to places I couldn't have one. I am now in sheltered housing so can't but would really love another one now. I think you're right, it is best to get another one to stop you thinking about it. Hope it's not too bad for you next week.
Hi linda. Haven't seen bez about for a few days. Hope she's ok.
Hello all - sorry to hear that slinky - it's tough but we wouldn't be without them

He's really struggling, so sad,the vet said that he's very healthy for his age, 16, apart from the tumour
Very up and down at moment. After hearing the news yesterday hubby and I were a bit more hopeful but he's been to see the oncologist today who has told him that even if the chemo works it is a very big operation he will have to undergo. It will be at least 2 weeks in hospital, so we're both a bit deflated again today.
Hi linda - do you ever sleep ? Was talking to bez on FB the last few nights!
Taking make up off before heading off to bed...and noseying on AB;-)
Sorry slinky for using your thread to reply. x
