Hi everybody, further to my previous post a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to let you all know (because I know it warms your hearts!) that today we brought home Mysti, a 5-year-old greyhound girl, sister for our Collie Jack.
She is black and white, like him, and although still unsure in this environment, I have seen her in her comfort zone and she is very playful! Her and Jack have frisked in the snow tonight, and played a little inside, so they are becoming friends!
We walked to collect her, so she walked back with us (around 35 mins) before lunch, went out the back twice then for a brief walk after 4(it's dangerously slippy!), but still peed on the dining room carpet! We went back out at tea time, and she peed in the yard-hurrah!
She's a real honey (but slightly, erm, gormless!) and I know we are going to just love her.
I will try and post photos soon!
Thank you. Lisa, Jack and Mysti! xx

So sorry I have been useless with keeping in touch the last while, things have been pretty manic (Im sure you have seen about First quench going under!).

Would really love to see some pics of Mysti, she sounds gorgeous! Sounds like Jack has taken a liking to her as well...

Look forward to hearing from you some time :-)

Aw bless. I'm sure you will wonder how you ever lived without her in a couple of weeks.

Hey wiggal sweets, thank you for your text-I am sorry to hear of your tough times and I am wishing it better for you (oh the power of hope!).
lankeela-thanks, I am starting to feel it already! Was up at 12.30am for her to pee (as she didn't pee on last walk at 10.30!). Up at 4am to take Mr Pops to work, so we walked then. Up at 7.30am to let them both out as they were unsettled, and gave up all hope of sleep a little before 8am, so got up and gave them a lovely walk in the woods.
ahmskunnirt-I am pleased to note it isn't just her-she is so dumb, bless her! There's a real chasm between her and Jack in the way they think and operate: what an eye-opener!
She is very sweet though. They are playing around each other but not with each other much yet; showing signs of it though, both at the toybox together.
xx
What was her racing name? If you don't know, what are her earmarks?
Oh thats great leelapops, she will be your forever friend very soon, they make great house pets but do like to sleep alot lol. What a smashing time for her [ a home for Christmas ] Lets have a photo asap. g
Aw bless.
I adopted a large lack greyhound Franky in october last year after i lost my lurcher rocky to cancer. I can't imagine ever not having Franky, he's adorable.
Greyhounds really do make wonderful pets and its so nice when another finds a good home.
I hope you have many happy years with Mysti and Jack.

Merry xmas x x x

Hi everyone. We had a lovely Xmas with Jack and Mysti-both were spoilt rotten! Despite knowing her background in petty theft, we still weren't careful enough and she managed to snaffle a toffee, a piece of coconut ice, and the piece de resistance-a WHOLE PACK of Webbox Chicken and Rice squares-quite an impressive feat in the space of the minute I left her! She must have inhled them, and the packet was so neatly opened so she is well practised!
She is happy walking in rain, snow, in the dark, and she really is a livewire as Greyhounds go!
lankeel, she was never registered as a racer as her back legs aren't right, but her right ear is tattooed KXD3. I have her parents' names upstairs if you were interested.
Cherry, your "new" boy sounds lovely! Sunfower, consider it done-she is hugged to bits!
She likes to wake you with kisses, and headbutts you in excitement when she gets up, before gently nibbling at your fingers!
I hope all of you nd your furry friends had a very merry and safe Christmas!
Thank you all for your interest. xx
