I just put the rubbish out as the bin men come tomorrow. my wheelie bin is COVERED in white maggots, inside and out!

I've looked with a torch, they were all over my doormat by the kitchen door (outside), which I've managed to get in the wheelie bin, and got the bin to the other end of my path but there are loads of maggots right outside the kitchen door.

how can I get rid of them quickly? like NOW?!!!!!

please. I can't stop scratching! PLEASE!

Colin the kvnt brought in a dead bird.......put him in the bin!
Who colin?
Question Author
Colin is a pansy, he doesn't catch stuff!

okay, so the maggots really didn't appreciate the first kettle load of water, so another one will follow. they look pretty dead to me, but it's dark and scary out there.

Pru, you're too late love ;o)
hey your doorstep will be lovely and clean tomorrow lol
Ohhh...bloody hell...I wish I hadn't read this.......:-((

But bleach and boiling water would be my choice also...good luck.
Maggots are harmless, don't worry about them, just pour the boiling water and bleach over them and sweep them away.

if they are inside the bin it's probably not Colin though, more likely something rotting in the bottom of the wheelie bin rotting.

you're gonna need to clean that bin out tomorrow!
pity sara, I was banking on a few quid for an extra bottle of Lindemans bin 65

On other thread below I mentioned I had rice for dinner and it was mentioned to me there - well I feel too sick to finish this
d'ye know see those compostable bin liners used for recycling I swear they rot the food down so quickly, gives me the boak
was it really nice puffy white rice, maybe with a slightly meaty flavor then?
In my early teens I used to buy a pint of maggots, then go down to the local market in town, & throw a handful in womens shopping bags
chuck ewwwwwww. We use those a weall
yeah pericat, and you cant change them everyday would cost you a fortune

I know, I'm sick but I took a photo... bu tit just looks like someone dropped a load of rice!

it's too dark (and raining) to be sure I've got them all, but will give them another hot soak tonight.

so, should I warn the binmen in the morning? will they still empty my bin?

carrust, you're disgusting!
