Will you be wearing a Poppy! Do you observe Remembrance Day! Where I live the Poppy issue is controversial, but I think all servicemen and women should be remembered!

IMO its common decency/courtesy to acknowledge those who have fallen regardless of your personal political beliefs.
I dont acknowledge Rememberence Sunday as it has -where I live - religious connotations and I am an atheist.

I refuse to wear a poppy because I don't believe in funerals or commemorating the dead. However, that doesn't stop me from putting money into the collecting box, because it goes to help the living.
A colleague of mine once berated me for not wearing a poppy, even though he knew that I'd put money (including banknotes) in 3 separate collecting tins that day. He, on the other hand, told me that he managed to avoid all of the people making the collections; the poppy he was wearing was one he'd found lying on the ground. He failed to see my point when I suggested that my attitude might be be rather more positive than his!
