You haven't overfed them have you? The best advice I ever got before getting a fish was keep them hungry. I would leave them a while before feeding again - they can go for about 10 days without food. Overfeeding affects their swimbladders as well as making the water toxic because of rotten food. Just give them a wee drop, once a day when you start feeding again.
Oh, sorry to hear one of the other fish died, we've always had goldfish in our home (in a tank of course!) but guess it depends how many fish you have for the size of the tank! Have you got some oxygenating plants in the tank? When you top up or change the water in the tank there are quite a few preparations to use to alter the tap water to make it suitable for your goldfish. Good luck.
you could also try adding some tonic - from pet shops, it may help.
like already mentioned you need to add a de-chorinator to the water
sorry - de-chlorinator
