Remember why you gave her away , you will miss her but she will be happy in her new home. I know it must be hard but i'm sure when you visit her she will be very happy to see you.
ohh i wonder what a battered cat would taste like?

(sorry)
Why did you give her away rather than the tom?

I don't think animals bear grudges or hld bad memories in the way that humans do.

Cats are survivors, they are usually content to live where ever they are fed and kept warm, and show irritatingly little loyalty to people whjo provide those basics for them.

Your cat will settle into her new home, and she is unlikely to miss you to the degree that you miss her, and you should take comfort from that.

You did the right thing, so keep your thoughts focused on that - you did right by your cat, and no pet casn ask for more.
Cats are fickle providing they are being cared for :)

She is away from a bullying cat and provided she's in a nice warm loving home where she is looked after then she will be just fine.

LOL-she may forget you after a while...but she WILL thank you for putting her in a safe place.
If you keep visiting her then I'm sure she'll remember you.
Like few said, you did the right thing giving her to a good home, and I'm sure she appreiciates it.

I know dogs are different to cats, but my mum had to give up our labrador when my sister was born, as he kept growling at her, but had always been affectionate towards me- I was 5.

My mum gave him away to a nice family she knew and we would visit from time to time.
Apparently they said he would always run up to young girls similar to me, to say hello to, it was like he always thought it would be me, so he must've have remembered me!
I don't think cats are much different..
