Crisis in my street...

I got a phonecall from one my young neighbours asking if I wanted to go out with them....He said he'd had a fight with his gf (not living together, 2 kids, oldest 3, youngest 8 months). I went outside to wait for the taxi with them, and there comes the girlfriend, with the kids in tow....She said he wouldn't answer her calls, so she had to come down.

It's bloody 10pm!!!! Little Cody was crying when they got there (3 yo), so I took her in my arms, as she knows me, and tried to play puppets while her mother was SHOUTING at the door. I called my neighbour and asked him to come down and sort something out. He did, they shouted in front of the poor kids again (was doing my best nanny impression by then!), then she left with the kids, and poor Cody cried when I handed her back. I'm a little distraught now!!! Does this happen anywhere else, because that's the first time I've experienced anything like that myself!

Does it happen anywhere else? Not really.

You poor thing, max.

:-(
Sadly life is never like the movies or tv.

When love breaksdown then people fail to think and just lash out.

It more often than not turne into a point scoring compoetition.

Its very rare that things are amicable between expartners.

I count myself very lucky in that respect.

It's not me I'm thinking about, imagine the little kids, going home like that!!! :O(
Aaw max :-( Not what you need on a Saturday night, is it?
I'm afraid it does go on all the time. xx
Another day in the life of the nation really.

I'm pretty sure the baby won't remember, but what about the 3 year old??? she was crying when she arrived, probably taken from her bed, poor thing! I managed to make her laugh, but jeeeeeee.....how can you bloody do that to kids??? I'm in two minds now, maybe I should phone him again and offer to babysit? Anything rather than this little mite hearing her parents shout again!
well ive just had to call 999 cos the druggie neighbour next door was screaming and kicking her door in and shouting at someone to get out of her house!

Police turned up and she changed story to "oh no-ones in there I cant find my keys"

Shes got track lines up her back and has peed herself!

Im so glad shes being evicted next week
Nice neighbourhood red ?
Sorry to be thick max, but did the two parents leave together? x
sadly, this happens all over the place- probably a bit like my next door neighbours- a case of kids being the parents of their own kids! make sure that the little 'uns are OK but my advice is to trtyand not get too involved-other peoples sh1t has a way of biting you in the a*se if you're not carefull!!!
It's prob not the first arguement like that, that the poor wee mite's heard Max :-(..

No, she stormed off with the babies, and he said "well, **** you then", then the other neighbour said he had left a minute later to run after them.
God help the kids.
Nice apart from her legend. Only house in area to be owned by housing assocation (affordable housing is great isnt it!)

Just i remember you saying you had a junkie living outside too.

I dont see anything like that , and when i hear about it it just makes me wonder.
Well if I were you max i wouldn't offer to babysit. What would happen if they both went out + came back pi**ed? x
Question Author
Seriously, I think I could cope better with these babies than the mother is at the minute. Never jhad kids, but at least I have common sense and I'm not driven by my own anger. I understand she might have been through a lot, but honestly! If it's not working, it's not working! No need to have middle of the night fight with your partner!
I know they are 21, and I'm almost 31, but still, I think there is some basic knowledge missing there!!!
he lived in her back garden. she hasnt been there for weeks, god knows why she chose tonight to come back. Police have taken her off somewhere now

Well, Bath, I'd rather it was me being there to greet drunken parents, than some 15 year old who's only going to want her money.
Good point babe x
Sadly there isnt enough affordable housing because maggie sold it off and spent the cash.another arguement for another day.

Max its very easy to judge folk , for their faults if the childrenarent being mistreated then theyre better with their mother and father if posssible.
Im assuming theyre normally ok , as you were going out with the dad and are friendl with them.

Better not to be too judgemental , im sure lots of folk have their faults.
