Does anybody know where flies go when it raining. Just wondered know its a strange question but its raining now and just wondered?

look at your ceiling when it's raining, especially in the summer time.

They also go to the underside of leafs on trees/shrubs. Have a look if it is still raining, you'll be surprised how dry the underside of leafs remain in even heavy rain.
Any nooks and crannies helps to keep them dry too.
