What happens to sparrows or other similar birds when they perch on an electric fence? Do they get a jolt big enough to kill them or just give them a shock like sheep & cows?

Short answer, no.

In order to get a jolt you need to be touching the ground as well- and they dont.

Oh bless!!!! Well i told you they were revolting - BUT! the more I looked at the links...you know....and they ARE handy for a lot of people.....
I was amazed at how many patterns and colours are on offer! It was a lovely thread though. it sure brought a smile to my face.

Not if they are wearing rubber boots. They do though if they happen to only stand on one leg.
