We saw loads of spiders in cape verde, in huge big webs, all together hanging from cables and trees etc near banana plantations etc. they were approx 4inches long with black shiny bodies and red/yellow stripy legs. I have been trying to find out what species this is and if they are dangerous? can anyone help?
