I'm thinking of getting a hamster - something I haven't kept for many years. I've already got quite an extensive rotostack system that my hubby got from a car boot sale. I've checked it out and it's clean and in good nick. But how do hamsters get back up those vertical pipes once they're down? I've seen hammies climbing wire cages and the like, but never up these things.
Also, it used to be the basic rule of thumb that you kept hamsters singly, because they fight otherwise. Does this still hold true?
they can climbe up and down the tubes as they have sucker like things on the feet what staberlisese them while climbng dont worry about that they will be fine..... about the fact of keeping hamsters together i dont know it might be best asking the pet shop where you buy them from because i know seom breeds can be kept together???
Thanks jo. I thought as much, as did a colleague who knows a lot about rats (don't ask), but we weren't sure about hammies. All I have to do now is find somewhere to site the cage.
