Tattoos

For those of you that have a tattoo, do you regret getting it? Anyone thinking of getting one? Would anyone recommend it?

No regrets at all, but I'm glad that I thought ahead and made sure the tattoo is in a place that can be covered up under most circumstances (upper arm, above t--shirt level!) just in case. In fact, 18 years on, I think it's about time I had aother one.

I'd agree with mikewith. Personally I would only ever get a tatoo in a place I could easily cover with clothes.I have 2 at the moment and seriously thinking of getting a few more in the near future. I don't regret it at all but thats not to say somebody else will not. If I'm being honest I dont notice them much any more, I have one on my arm and one on my back, they are just there part of me like a mole or something. As for recommending it, I don't think I'd say to anybody "get a tatoo" but equally I would'nt say "Dont get a tatoo". I know its obvious but its there forever take a long time to look for what you want, don't just go in pick one and get it done, look around as many tatoo shops as you can and if you see one you like go back a week later and have another look then go back another week later and have another look. I have heard many people say they regret getting a tatoo done on the spur of the moment but none who took their time and made the right choice for them.

No regrets at all.......I thought about it for ages before I got it and I drew the design myself.....love it, but wont be getting anymore.

i also have had no regrets ,before having one i spent years thinking of an ideal one id like and i wouldnt get embaressed or bored with ,had it 9 years now and it still looks as good as the day i had it done

I have 4 tatoos, all of which were done in the mid eighties, and I regret every single one of them.When I first had them done,the quality was awesome,but over the years the colours have faded pretty badly and they now look very dated.Fortunately, I have them in places that I can cover up very easily.If there was a cheap,pain free,scar free way of having them removed,I would do it tomorrow.

I'm only 16 and got my first tattoo just after i turned 15. As yet i havn't regretted it, i think they'r beautiful but still i do respect other peoples points of view. to tell you the truth i only got my tattoos because someone told me not to!
