our neighbour have a tree that at this time of year shed s millions of "fairies" and makes such a mess . it have ovate leaves i think and almost catkin like upward facing fairy releasers. sorry that this is a bit vague, but does anyone know what tree it might be, thanks to anyone who answers me

Just a wild guess but it might possibly be a 'Poplar' (Cottonwood US) thats shedding the fluffy seed, or possibly one of the many species of willow.
