I took my Jack Russell to the vets last week as she has had really bad diarrhoea for a while, and he says she may have Colitis and put her on chicken and rice 4 a week. The week is up now, shes bin better until about 6 hours ago when she keeps grumbling and spinning round and looking at her bum. She doesn't do anything when i take her out. The last poo she did was this morning and it was solid at first, then runny and bothered her and she rubbed her bum on the floor. I know thats a sign of worms but thats sorted. What else could it be ????

See the post bit further up. Dogs can get blocked anal glands if they have runny poo. The solid poo normally squeezes an amount of smelly stuff out as they poo. If they have diarrhoea the glands dont get squeezed and they get too full and itch. It is a quick job for the vet to squeeze them but be aware it stinks. Once poo returns to normal it should resolve itself.
My gsd went through a phase of having them squeezed and the vet showed me how to do it but luckily the problem sorted itself before i had to try it.
