When you say pedigree, do you have Kennel Club registration papers? Or do you just have a 'pedigree' written out by the breeder?

If you haven't bought a KC registered dog then there is nothing that can be done.

I suggest you contact a Westie breeder in your area and ask them to confirm that it is 'purebred' as far as they can tell. Got to http://www.champdogs.co.uk click on Guided Search, then terrier group, then West Highland White Terriers, and you will get a list of breeders listed with their county.

If you find out it is not a purebred Westie then you could have a case for Trading Standards providing you have got a copy of the advert saying it is 'pedigree'.
as its only 8 weeks old it could be that they wont stand up right till hes a bit older, as if you went to google search and looked at westie pups then you might see that they are all like that as are many breeds when they are pups.
He's 8 weeks old, his ears will prick up soon dont worry! What is his affix? The name on his pedigree

Just spoken to a Westie breeder, hers are usually up by 8 weeks, but she says don't worry until at least 12 weeks, as some lines have ears that lift later. If they are very heavy, like a hound, then they may not come up at all. Its a case of wait and see I'm afraid.
Out of the 3 pedigree westies I have had, all of them had floppy ears until they were about 12-14 weeks old, when they just seemed to prick up. Except one (ear that is not dog), which stayed floppy and does actually look very cute!!
