I have a 14 week old rabbit and he is very good, he will never do any messes outside of his cage, and will hop into his cage to do this and then hop back out and he practically just started doing that himself. However, i clean him out and upon putting him back in his cage he does about 10 + droppings and the cage looks no cleaner than it was to start with! is there anything i could put in there i.e a small tray and how would i make him do his droppings on there so then the tray can be lifted out daily ? i tried putting some soiled sawdust and droppings onto a small tray but this did not work. any advice would be great cheers

What do you want him to do? Sweep up his own mess? He sounds like a very clean and intelligent bunny.....be happy with what you've got!!!!! You've answered your own question.... If you can be bothered to keep taking a tray in and out....do it. Sounds like he's got you trained!

hi try a litter tray with a little cat litter. (wood base) that should do the trick, place it where he does his droppings.
