My cat has either had a fight or scratched it herself but it appears to be weeping and it stinks! It's not in her ear but like the flap of her ear. She is eating, drinking, playing fine still. Should i be worried? Especially as the smell is bad.

The smell could be a sign of infection. Have you not taken her to the vet yet?
Could be a burst abcess, possibly. I suggest you take her to the vet.
i agree with the others a trip to the vets is a must for poor kitty. the smell is usually a sign of infection so good you noticed it cause if kitty is a fighter it wont be the last time you will smell it, possibly is an abcess my tom has had a few of them it will involve a antibiotic jab and maybe some pills, if you have problems getting the pills down kitty then a deli chicken from tesco usually sorts any problems out, just tear off a bit of chicken and wrap the pill in it. works for my tom every time no stress at all.
obione sounds right to me. in her younger years, my cat's been a bit of a brawler, and had to go a few times to the vet for similar complaints. Antibiotics will sort it.
if you cant get her to the vet until monday use cotton wool to bathe her ear with warm salted water, it should help a little, as long as she lets you that is!
Hi, My cat had this a few months ago. He had been in a fight and another cat must have caught it. It started of looking a bit sore then it opened and had pus coming from it with that nasty smell. Took him to the vet they gave him an injection (antibiotics) then he had to have a course of antibiotics. I was also given some pink liquid to clean the ear, so I bathed it around twice a day. Take him to the vet please.
