No question, just want to say thanks for all advice given in May. Glad to report baby frogs are leaving home daily.
They are soooo cute.
Thanks again.

Glad you've been having success. Few of mine seem to have developed their legs yet. If you still have lawns which arn't burned to a crisp by this hot weather and are still mowing them, do watch out for the froglets lurking in the grass. It's so easy to mow the tiny creatures down without realising they're there. Also, if you can spray some of the undergrowth around the pond with a watering can, this will help to provide a moist area for them in this heat; otherwise they may not survive.

Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on whether or not you are a sun worshipper) we don't have the water problems they seem to be having down south - we live in the Scottish Borders. Our grass is still lush and long here, however, it's a good bit off from where the barrel of frogs are. It's got pebbles round it (as well as piles of wood and other such stuff) and it's in a shady corner of the garden, therefore the froglets are hiding in all the nooks and crannies around there. The nearest grass to the barrel is the field behind us and there's a little burn running through it so I'm sure that's where they'll all head for.
