The Kennel Club breed standard states that the ideal height should be 14 - 16 inches, and the weight should be related to these heights. Dogs should weigh between 13 - 17 kgs and bitches 11 - 15.4 kgs. ( i.e. the smaller in height, the less they should weigh).

This is of course for adult dogs, but as yours is only a pup of 4 months, I would make sure she is not overweight. You should be able to see a waistline, and feel her ribs. If you know her parents were big examples of the breed, then she may also turn out to be a big girl. If they were small dogs, then maybe you need to think about a suitable diet, but check with your vet first, or contact the breeder who may be able to tell you what lies behind her pedigree.

Hi gwenfrewi I've got a female staffie pup too and she's just turned 6 months. I know that she's slightly taller than usual as she's already a bit taller than our other 5 year old staff. We got her weighed the other week at the vets and she's 13.5kgs. She's skinny as anything and I can both feel and see her ribs. Her bones all seem to be the right size now she just needs to bulk out so I wonder what weight she'll be when she's fully grown. 10kgs sounds perfect weight for the age of your pup
