What Can Give My Cockerpoo To Stop Her Scratching

She’s go no fleas but suffers from ‘doggy’ eczema, I’ve tried a half of antihistamine tablet ( Piriton) but that hasn’t helped

Chris, piriton is recommended by vets for dogs. Also for dogs who are anxious. The same tablets as used for humans and can be bought from pharmacies. Cheaper than getting them from vets. We have used them for years. Benolyn cough medicine can be used as well as long it's the antihistamine variety. But apparently not other
anti histamines. The generic version from pharmacies is quite cheap.

Bobbi, see if you can consult a skin specialist vet - your own vet should be able to tell you who.
Over the years I have had 2 dogs who had specific skin problems (neither caused by fleas). The quick diagnosis by the specialist vets (they did their own testing rather than send samples to a laboratory) and prompt medication sorted things out speedily after months of attention by my normal vets, both of whom were competent.
If you can do this pdq I think it will save poor Lola from more misery than she needs to endure, bless her, and it will save you the stress too. Good luck.

Personally, I would ask your vet for a referral to a dog skin specialist as it’s not been resolved by an ordinary vet and has been going on long enough.
Our dog kept getting eye infections with yellow puss oozing out and making him rub his eyes. He had numerous eye drops and was eventually referred to a dog eye specialist who diagnosed the problem with just one visit (he has malformed bits that don’t drain away moisture from his eyes).
Our dog is insured and all we paid was the excess but we’d have happily paid whatever it took.

I would try a Seresto collar. I had one literally pulling her fur out - couldn't find anything on her and did various tests for allergies - within hours of wearing the Seresto collar she stopped scratching and her coat has returned to normal. Make sure you get a genuine Seresto though, from one of the main online canine pharmacies such as Hyperdrug.
Not long after we moved to UK our (French) dog began scratching. He's been treated for fleas/ticks etc. by vet before travelling. Eventually took him to the vet and although, no sign of fleas, we were advised weekly bath with medicated shampoo. This didn't work, so we started on a long period of removing various foods. Eventually we started him on Harrington's (and a bit under the advised serving) and he's now fine! Don't know if this helps at all.
