Not so little Tigs had a minor op 2 years ago to remove a cyst on his back, just below the neck. I used bio oil for several months after it had healed but it didn't do anything. The scar tissue is quite a big lump and bigger than the cyst that was removed.

He went swimming yesterday with my brother and nephew and my brother mentioned to me that it doesn't look normal. Is there anything that can be done to remove the scar or at least reduce the size of the lump?

Think you would need to go back to the dermatologist. Maybe another op to tidy it up?

Will do, cheers.
What was the nature if the cyst?

It may be a recurrence which will need further excision, it may be that it wasn't completely excused in the first place or it may be a keloid (exaggerated healing response).

Ask to see a Plastic Surgeon.

Not sure, Sqad, but it kept growing and was benign. In the scan it looked like a bead.

I looked up keloids and apparently there are nonsurgical treatments you can use. I have lumpy keloids on my back and some have flattened out.
