She’s been dribbling like mad for a few days and not eating, so took her to vet this eve. She can’t be 100% without a biopsy but showed me a swelling/mass under her tongue. Am so upset.

Am devastated. She has a couple of bad back teeth band she said she MAYb just have toothache and infection but unlikely. She won’t eat at all. Gave her 3 injections including v strong antibiotics and pain killers and said just to reassess in 24 hours.
Don't think the worst Smow it is probably just tooth or gum infection.
Question Author
God I hope so. I’ve had her since she was born- I saw her being born.
OK Smow hope things work out. xxx
Keep positive smow, it might be something less awful
Question Author
Thankyou everyone. She’s had 3 injections tonight - Including v strong antibiotics and pain killers. Just incase it’s simply am infection. Have to reassess tomorrow.
I am so sorry to hear this, I hope that it is not the worst.
Question Author
Thankyou everyone - it means a lot x
Is she asleep now?
Question Author
No, she keeps going outside into the garden which is most out of character for her at night. She’s normally curled up here next to Mr Smow but she just won’t sit indoors. Most odd.
Yes, Smowball, let's just hope that it's a tooth/teeth/abscess thingy, and a few hours sleep with antibiotics and pain medicine whirling around through her body will put things to right.
Yes you'd think all that treatment would've knocked her out. How old is she?
Question Author
She’s 13. Even the vet said the injections would knock her out but no. She’s finally come indoors in last 2 mins and is laid next to me but I don’t know for how long.
I hope that the vet can get a better look tomorrow.

What's her name?

Frankie and I send our love, I hope that the news is better in the morning.

When will you get results of the biopsy? Do let us know how she goes on please. Fingers crossed she has many more years left.
Question Author
Bless you, she hasn’t had the biopsy yet as they said at least try antibiotics for 24hrs to see if they make any difference. Don’t think they will. She is so thin now :(
Question Author
She is 13 but looks like a baby.
I hope you don't have to make the decision we all dread, but if you do I know you'll do it with love.

Here's hoping. ♥
I do hope your cat only has an infection. I lost a much younger cat to oral cancer a number of years ago...I understand how you are feeling now x
