Sunday. My apologies for disappearing without notice yesterday. A power cut was the culprit, the first of five through the day. I'm really pleased I have a gas cooker!
It rained for most of yesterday, no idea what it will do today. Back to sunshine I hope. I have a dinner party this afternoon, it would be nice to be able to eat out in the back garden. The starter and pud made yesterday, so just the main to do today.
Just the usual running around this morning. Probably won't get to read the paper until about mid night!

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning WBM. I think I'm first on today! Rain forecast here all day but it aint gonna stop me from getting on the golf course! Note I said getting on the course. Actually playing any good is another matter! Enjoy your meal later.

Morning clarion. You are indeed. :o}

It's raining her too. I hope it doesn't stop you enjoying your golf.
Good morning all.
Question Author
Morning danny. All well mate?
Not too bad Boaty, You ok?
Question Author
Good to see danny.
I'm fine thanks. I've got an enjoyable day ahead.
Do you have any plans?
Usual crossies etc.
Question Author
A pleasent way to spend a day.
Good morning all.

For a Saturday at the beginning of the school holidays, the traffic down from Essex to Ramsgate yesterday was ominously light. No doubt we'll 'cop it' on the journey back this morning!
Question Author
Morning arrods. It's easy to tell the school holidays have started, it's raining!

All well mate?
Fine thanks Boaty.

No rain here yet - in fact my rain warning map shows us here in Ramsgate being the only place in the UK without the damp stuff. It's coming our way I fear.
Question Author
It seems quite happy here at the moment.
>>> I have a dinner party this afternoon, it would be nice to be able to eat out in the back garden

So it's YOUR fault that there's rain forecast all day then, is it?
(Arranging a dinner party in the garden is even more certain to bring on rain than organising a barbecue there).

Good morning all!

Morning Chris. Yep. Guilty as charged. I did try to tell the weather gods I was joking, but they were having none of it!
All well mate?
Morning. I haven't looked out yet but it sounds like it's raining a little bit.
Question Author
Morning ummmm xxx How are you this morning?
I'm fine thanks, Boaty (and I trust that you are too).

It will seem odd for me this evening as I ALWAYS go to the pub on a Sunday evening to make an attempts at a crossword with two mates. However Kenn is away in Yorkshire at the moment and Reg is in London this weekend. So I'll be at a loose end this evening. (If the waeather forecast was better I'd hop on a train to here https://burybeerhouse.co.uk/ but I'll probably give it a miss tonight).

I won't actually miss out on the pub crossword session though. Reg and I have moved it to Tuesday and brought in a substitute from Italy to make up the numbers.
I'm good. I might go back to bed though :-)

Good plan ummmm. ;o}

That looks nice chris.
The Beerhouse is a lovely pub, Boaty (and just a few minutes walk from Bury St Edmunds rail station). They brew their own (excellent) ales and they always have a good range of guests too.
