I have a combination oven/microwave.  It has a metal tray.  Why does this not cause a problem when I am using the microwave function ??

My combi also has a metal tray, but the manual says to take it out when microwaving. I once left it in by mistake and had to rush to turn it off when the blue flashes started!

oh well mine has never caused a problem and it is clear that the tray is designed to stay there as it has the glass top on it ??   Strange .... maybe I should have posted this in Science !

Did you know that you can cook stuff in tin foil or foil trays in the microwave if you put it in a BROWN paper bag

Simply put a pie in a foil tray in a brown paper bag and nuke it

And that's MAGIC
