Has anyone spotted any of the Giant Spanish slugs that are slithering their way up from the south coast of England. Apparently they eat our own native slugs, and everything else besides. Has anyone seen them?

I don't think I've seen those ones yet but I've read those scare stories in the tabloids.
The ones that I get in my garden are mostly Leopard slugs. I'm hoping for some help from our friends the hedgehogs, toads etc.
meantime I'll try to eliminate places where slugs like to hide, like plastic sheeting and old pots etc.

Like you, Chipchopper, I get a lot of the native leopard slugs. I don't kills them, but I do try to discourage them with sharp stuff like crushed shells round the Hostas. But if the slugs from the scare stories reach here I will have to consider revising my no-kill policy. I don't think i could bear to see those guys in the bag of rabbit food!
Are they edible?
