Where does Lotte live, Yilly. She makes scary noises.
Question Author
Germany, Yont. Them's german squawks!
Thanks Yilly, I thought they sounded like orders that she is squawking out.
Question Author
They are orders, Yont. 'Feed me, feed me!'
Mom and dad don't seem to hear her though.
Question Author
She is Mum. She's sitting on eggs. It's Dad that doesn't seem to hear, which is a bit of a disability for an owl!
Ah I see, selective deafness !.
Question Author
Like most males of the species. :-)
Doh Pardon, Yilly ;-)
Question Author
LIKE MOST MALES OF THE SPECIES.
Ok Ok I heard you.
There is a beautiful male Eagle Owl living in the woods where I live Tilly, bloody huge wingspan and keeps landing on folks heads looking for a mate.
Blimey, exactly the same MO then lol. If you walk around Wotton Under Edge and call the Owl it will come to you within a minute. It's one very impressive bird and has eaten all the rats.
Eaten all of the rats, he's worth keeping around.
Question Author
Good for Eddie! Go eagle owl.

I'm off now, got to fly. Goodnight.
I thought you lived in the Canadian Rockies OL when I saw your post. Eagle Owl in Wotton under Edge though, lucky you.
Don't get in a flap about it, g'night Yilly.
No, still struggling along in SW UK ladybirder !. It's very nice round here though, lots of owls around, deer and recently a massive Kestrel on the loose but this Eagle Owl is very impressive, you've got to see it to appreciate how big it is in flight, its like a Boeing 747 :)
