Had to giggle at my daughters house on Boxing Day - both her and her sister have recently got new pups, Japanese Chin/Maltese Spaniel crosses - their little faces when they were taken onto the snow covered lawn to do their toilet were a picture to behold.

Mamyalynne: Dogs are so comical in snow, especially toy/small breeds that just disappear and only reappear when they 'frog hop'. My ex wife has a shiapzu (shih zu cross lhasa apso) and when we use to walk her in the snow she'd just disappear.

Yes ,comical is right - these two were doing what those lizards do on hot sand,raising one paw then the other and looking at us as if to say 'what the heck is this?'
