Do people actually believe this rubbish??
Recording it,will comment in a while.
Most people on benefits are just normal people. It is the small percentage of them that are up to no good that tarnish them all.

Thankfully I don't have a TV so I will be spared. :-)

I think the politicians claiming false expenses are the real spongers!
No tv wolfy??

What's all your furniture pointed at?

Havnt yet seen an episode of Westminster street psybbs.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single mum in possession of a large fortune must be a benefits scrounger.

I cant watch anymore of this propoganda....
I'll catch up on this thread tomorrow.
Well some have actually done a little time, nailit so maybe we should have
B00 - I don't have much furniture, we live with cardboard boxes and scratch poles.
Some of these programmes are quite sympathetic towards benefit claimants. Why don't you watch it before passing judgement?
I'm not sure I follow your remark.

When I watch it, it will be the same programme you watched.

Apologies if I have misunderstood.
The programme is not saying 'All benefits claimants are spongers.'

It's just highlighting the 'can't be arsed to find work cos it's easier on benefits' attitude some have due to our over-generous benefits system

You can't really comment on an edited recording. " - it appears that is exactly what you are doing with this post.
I watched this programme and it showed 3 people in Liverpool who were receiving benefits of £ 70 per week, which I certainly do not think is an excessive amount of money. In fact I do not know how a person could exist on such a miserly sum.

They were in arrears due to the fairly recent" bedroom tax " under the threat of eviction. However it would seem that the Social Services were incorrect in that this tax had been wrongly applied rooms being classed as bedrooms were in fact too small to be classed as such.

One other lady wants a one bedroom flat but there are non available so she has to remain in her 3 bedroom house.

I can only hope that I will never be in a position of getting £70 per week on which to exist.
Still chuckling at BOO's 21:16 comment !
3b semi becomes a 1b semi to prevent eviction for not paying extra room tax but he can afford to keep 2bull dogs in the 2 bedrooms.

Woman runs up huge rent debts but can pay for tatoos & avoids eviction by settling debt @ miserly weekly payment.

They dont get my sympathy.
They don't survive on £70 a week. Rent, council tax, prescriptions, dental costs, hospital travel costs all adds up
