I have a boy and a girl Yorkie....
Girl is a bit of a drama queen/goody two shoes.
Boy is .... well I don't know.... he whinges to be covered in a blanket.
He will whine and whine till I cover him, then he totally relaxes and sleeps.
Dunno what to make of them, love em to bits - but surely this ain't right?

Sounds pretty normal for a Yorkie to me. We had one, quite a character!
He liked to be tucked in and cosy at bedtimes too! Slept on a large floor cushion at the foot of my bed with a travel rug to cover him - his only problem was that he was totally unaware that he was tiny, in his own mind he was a Rottweiler - pinned the insurance man to the wall in the hall once, it was hilarious! Super pooches! You are so lucky

Yes, I can see the imagined size thing,,,,,next doors had 2 newfies, boy barked at em insistently, neighbour said...your yorkie will kill my dogs, he will stick in their throat.
The people just up the road have a miniature yorkie that's like that nungate. They'd come down the road and he'd bark like mad at Max and when Max barked back he'd hide behind his dad.He still stops and barks as they go by and then stands looking as if to say where the hells that big lump hiding.
Our Benji used to patrol the fence at the bottom of the garden waiting for someone to pass so he would bark at them, people jumped in fright, it was his favourite thing to do. One night he was patrolling, as usual, I was standing in the door way while he got on with "things" (he wasn't ready to come in yet) anyway a couple wandered along past the garden, Benji waited until they were halfway along the path before he opened up giving the, a fright (psycho!) the couple stopped, the man looked over the fence saw Benji turned to his wife and said, "oh, it's just one of those wee things you put on a mantelpiece" and they wandered off!
I had 2 female miniature yorkies - older one wanted to sleep in our bed tucked up alongside me with her head on my bicep and the other one slept between my late wife's pillow and the headboard!

Funny you should say that welsh yorkie.
I seem to recall that I read somewhere that yorkies were actually bred as ratters?? People used to have them sleeping at the head and foot of kiddie's beds for protection.
(I wonder if I just made that up?)
