One of these bats was sighted on St. Kilda's main Island of Hirta. Unusual to find this type there.

It was on the lunchtime news today - spotted just resting on a stone wall. They've been recorded on Orkney & Shetland, apparently, but never on St Kilda.

Wish I'd seen the news. They seem to be a rare type.
Unusual? It must have been totally lost to fetch up in St Kilda!
