Has there been any news anywhere to see if the £2.00 hike as made much difference to people buying them?

I for one have started the Health Lottery.

I think we'll have to wait a few weeks to get a trend, as people will keep playing as long as Camelot keep pumping these exta prizes in. Trish and I will keep playing Saturday but drop Wednesday so they wont gain any etra from us,however we are both members of several syndicates and all of them have gone over to he Health Lottery, in fact virtually everybody I know have said that their syndicates are doing the same.
All this fuss over a quid extra on the ticket price.
Simple half the number of lines you play.
The odds of winning the jackpot will not get much worse ie two lines down to one line.
Count yourself lucky you don't get taxed on prizes. Some EU countries do.

Think you'll find it was a £1 hike from £1 to £2, but if it makes you feel better . . . . .
Those of us who currently play two fixed lines are trembling in our boots - suppose we go down to one line, and cancel the one that wins next week....
Since the main game has remained unchanged, the number of tickets with 3 matching numbers should give a good indication of how many tickets were sold each week.

Over the 10 weeks prior to the price increase, the average number of tickets with 3 matching numbers was 448,305. Last Saturday it was 441,686, suggesting that the total number of tickets sold has probably not changed much.
I've only won about half a dozen tenners since the National Lottery started (and never anything higher than that). If I now keep winning £25 payouts (as I did on Saturday) I won't be complaining too much ;-)
Well done Chris
