For several things including heartburn / indigestion. On checking my receipt today I found it was £1.28. Now I realise that grocery's have really gone up in price, but bloody hell at the beginning of December it was 69p. Just thought I'd share.

Next time buy it from Poundland.
I'd shop around, jeza - I've started going to different shops for certain items, e.g. I only ever buy toilet rolls from Farm Foods these days

Evening Society and Boxy. I tend to rush around when I have to leave Mic on his own so I don't look at the price I just buy what I need and want.
Hi Jeza. If you suffer a lot from heartburn/indigestion, have you thought about asking your doctor for something on prescription? I'm guessing that you are of an age where you don't have to pay.

I buy a pre-payment card for my scripts, get all my medication for a one-off fee of £10.40 per month. It's great as prior to this my meds were costing me a fortune.

Hello Mrs Chappie. I am of the age for free scripts..........But Mic needs looking after. If I see the doc I am feared of getting taken in for investigation. Who then would look after Mic?
Get in touch with your Carers Assoc, please.

Jeza, I am sure there would be ways and means. it might be that you don't need in-patient investigations, just a hour's tests or so. You ought to get it checked in your own interests. I do understand your devotion to micmak but you need to look out for yourself, too.

I don't have a carers association. Mic will not have any outside help. He is a very private person. I must respect his wishes.
Surely he wouldn't want your own health to suffer though, jeza? - if you become ill, then that would really become a problem.
Question Author
I do realise what you are all saying, but it's getting to the point that Mic panics when I take the rubbish out. I know things can't go on like this.
There will be a carers assoc in your area. There is nothing stopping you seeking support Jeza, caring for the carer is important too.
Bless you Jeza, you are a very special lady but I do hope you will think about yourself as well as Mic. I'm sure the doctor could help in some way, even if you tell him you aren't willing to go to hospital for tests (but I sincerely hope that you would if the doc recommended it).

I take Lansoprazole, which apparently stops the acid being produced, so no more heartburn/indigestion.

Headwreck, that sounds hellish expensive for your scripts. :o(

Eccles. I am not a paid carer. I am a wife.

You don't need to be paid to be considered as a carer.

Jeza, you don't have to be a paid carer to find support for yourself, even if not very local to you its worth a little time even once a month. As above you need to look after yourself as well. Also, visiting the gp for yourself need not be that intrusive, you're not obliged to say more than you want to. Best wishes.
