Just seen this on one of these selling groups on facebook:

‎14week old puppy for sale
Flead wormed an jabbed
Great with all animals
Excellent with children of all ages especially my 1 year old
For sale Must go to good home
She is being sold thro no fault of her own but I don't have time for her like she needs as iv got 2 very younge children an I'm moving home inbox me

What the hell is wrong with people that do this? Why the hell would you get a bloody puppy (From the picture added I think it's an Alsation) before deciding if you had the time for it! Surely you're two young kids haven't just popped up from nowhere since you got the puppy.

Sorry for the rant but I feel like crud today which has put me in a bad mood and seeing this made me see red. I'm sooooo tempted to comment on the post.

I suspect she didn't "get" it - perhaps she has the mother dog already and it gave birth. If not - raving - would would buy a dog off facebook?

And who are the people that are just letting dogs have puppies and seemingly handing them out to anyone who happens to be passing by.
Question Author
I'm always seeing kittens and puppies for sale on facebook.
Irresponsible ones, that's who.

Hadn't thought that she might own the Mum dog, but if she does she should have got her bits done. Or just not let her breed.
Don't be sorry Evian. There are loads of people who do things without thinking through the consequences. Fair enough if they just screw themselves up but when it involves animals and kids!!!!!
Better than just leaving it tied up somewhere... but I see your point.
Dear God! There's a lot to be said for reintroducing dog licences - that is, not so much for the dog, but for the person thinking of getting a dog, to show that they're responsible enough.
Is the selling of animals allowed ???

'Must go to a good home'.

Yeah, you'd f***ing hope so! It's not your Grannies nicest china set you're selling.
Sometimes people just don't understand how much hard work they are. They can't see through the cuteness. Hopefully she's learn a lesson...

I got my cat off facebook :-) I did know the person though.

She must have not heard the little known expression 'dogs are for life.....'
Yes, I agree, but some people still don't understand whats involved. They think it'll be idealic imagining taking the kids and the dog out for nice walks. Reality is they need training or they'll pee all over the house and chew your shoes and furniture.

Some people are idiots. Including those that just let dogs breed and give them to whoever fancies it.
Some people don't think things through.
It incenses me too. Bl00dy idiots. And I hold out little hope for the poor dog having a decent life. Responsible people will go to a rescue centre for their dog, not buy it off Facebook. So that leaves the irresponsible idiots, who will probably do the same as the current owners and pass it on to someone else when they get fed up with it. It should be made illegal for anyone other than licensed sellers to sell a dog and it should be incumbent upon them to do home checks etc. Evian could you advise her to take it to a rescue centre, at least it might stand a chance then, with a decent family?
Disagree Ladybirder - we bought our two from a less than reputable source solely to rescue them from the life that they probably were destined for. Please don't think that we are irresponsible - our previous dog was from a rescue centre, and all of them have been much loved and cared for. Our two beasts have just had their eighth birthday and have a very lovely life. I completely disagree with puppy farms and their ilk, but whilst there is nothing in place to stamp them out, should we not 'rescue' those poor dogs too?
(As a side note - I have also had the most horrendous experience with the RSPCA when trying to rescue a dog. They had him put to sleep 'in error.' Lovely and caring - and hardly giving him a chance.)
Forgot to add - completely agree with you Evian - these kind of people should be banned from having animals for life. And probably children for that matter.
I hate them too Evian.
You see a lot of this on another site(i think we all know which!)
