Can't explain the sicky feeling but cystitis gives a sensation of needing to pee all the time but only being able to squeeze a little out and it burns/ stings.  It is easily treatable by dissolvable sachets that you can buy in pharmacies, but I would advise seeing your GP in case it is kidney stones or something.
yes sounds like cystitis - can make you feel sick and also loose blood, so go to chemist and ask for something - if really bad, see you GP.

thank you both, im off to the chemist!!

Hi Boobesque,

I've suffered from exactly the same symptoms and it was definatley cystitis.  For relief drink plently of water.

goodluck!

The sachets are very good, and my doctor told me to drink Cranberry Juice, which worked.

Sounds like cystitus.

The best thing I've found is boots own sachets!

just got some of the boots sachets so fingers crossed!

i wont be drinking the cranberry, yuck!!!

hopefully this will be the first and last time!!!

If you don't like cranberry jiuce you can get a supplement from Seven Seas called Cranberry Forte. My flatmate swears by them. They don't cure cystitis but they do stop it recurring.

thank you auntie sar, have to give them a whirl!
If you don't catch it quickly, the over the counter sachets are useless - if it doesn't feel better quickly you need anti-biotics. Drink loads and loads of water, cranberry juice really does help (it's an acquired taste, but after a while you'll love it!), avoid other fruit juices, coffee and most of all alcohol. There is loads of info about the causes and prevention of cystitis on the web, most women get it at some time, I used to suffer frequently and it made me feverish and nauseous. Since I started drinking Cranberry juice I haven't had it at all - nearly 10 years.
an important factor in preventing future infections is to make sure that when you have had a poo (I know, not nice subject) that you wipe your bottom from front to back ie away from your lady bits.
