Do any of the good people on AB have an hint or little thing they do to remember things .I know we should concentrate when we do thing we will remember them .Instance I leave house 10 minutes up road I think did I lock door .Two minutes later Ive convinced my self the door is not locked so wander back and its locked .Have actually missed the bus by returning to locked door .
sibton agree if it something you do every day the time goes so fast it was probally yesterdays action you remember .Is it just consentrating on what we do ?
I read somewhere that if you have something that you worry about then you should vocalise it when you doit. So if you say out loud 'I have locked the door, turned the iron off, let the dogs in' etc, etc, then it helps you to remember that you've done it.
Sometimes I forget to say, 'I've paid my credit card bill.' I then drive myself potty looking for receipts.
................last week I left my door and car keys on the outside of the door.
I was going mad the next day looking for them. Anyone could have come in, stolen all our wordly goods and taken them away in the car!
Sometimes a delivery man is due to call when I have to go out, so I am supposed to leave the porch door unlocked for him to leave the parcel there. I quite often forget and lock the doors. So now I leave the keys hidden in the porch so I can't lock the door when I know he's due.
Heard of this before Tilly but then how do you remember to say it or if you said it after each action it would get to be a habit so you would not realize you were saying it hence it would not work
Every time I go on holiday, usually just boarding the plane I convince myself I've left a window open, knocked a gas tap on, not locked the front door.....etc etc..get myself into a quiet state of frenzy.omg omg....
my dad is the only one out of four of us who takes sugar in his tea - even with the sugar jar in my hand I can't remember if I have put a spoonful in his mug or not...nine times out of ten I have to have a little taste.
