kennel cough

My cavalier stayed in kennels last week and today he keeps coughing is it likely to be kennel cough and if so what is the treatment is it dangerous.

It is very likely to be kennel cough, it is highly contagious and very prevalent.  Two of my dogs had it once!  It needs treatment with antibiotics which should clear it up quite quickly, so do take your dog to the vets asap. 

It is not particularly dangerous but can lead to complications if not treated quickly, especially in older or dogs that are already suffering from other complaints.

I was told that Kennel cough can prove fatal if left untreated.  A dose of antibiotics will clear it up
