Ok, so I had two gerbils but today Pebbles died ( :( ) My other one Bam Bam is cold and still and just sits in my hand. She also ate some of Pebbles which I know is instict. She is also biting a lot more. I'm super sad and I'm pretty sure Bam Bam will die soon.... But until then what should I do?

I'll watch her... Shes breathing really fast. And staying still.
What are the signs shes about to die?
i'm not an expert, i'm drawing on the experience of my god-dughters whos hamster died a few years ago.
they said at the time that he simply stopped doing anything .. walking, eating, moving, drinking etc. he just lay down and after some hours - that was that.
I know what i would do but only you can decide, take care.
good morning mamya. burning the midnight oil?
how are you holding up daisy?

i'm off to bed daisy. please know i'll be thinking of you.

take care
sorry for you and your beasties, daisy - what's the news this morning?
Years ago one of my gerbils went a bit 'funny' and like your's, he was really cold. I filled a hot water bottle and wrapped it up in a towel so it was warm but not hot, and lay him on it. He perked up after a few hours (I refilled the bottle a couple of times) and lived to a ripe old age. But I don't know what age bam bam is, it may just be his time.

Hey guys thanks for all the support I really need it. I put Pebbles in the backyard to rest. Bam Bam is eating a little which is good, but is just sitting there with her head under her body like a little white snow ball. She is still just stitting in my hand too. Poor girl I think she misses Pebbles more then I do!

Bam Bam is out. (hard to type with one hand) She is a little hyper but can be easily calmed down. I found her out of her nest in a different corner and I freaked because I read some where that when they do that they are ready to die so I took her out. She was pretty cold! But my guess would be she just missed her sister. Poor girl!

Case closed! Bam Bam is now perfectly fine. (I know it's wierd because she was horrible yesterday!) I'm reading up on ways to introduce two gerbils, using the split cage method. I also figuerd out she was just lonely. Good luck Bam Bam!
