Pets at Home do lovely 'doggie' Easter eggs.
Thought it meant me a minute there :>) A friends jack russell once attacked and ate most of 3 choc easter eggs once and was very very poorly for a while, so do take care. You are not being kind by giving them some of yours. Thanks for bringing this to pet owners attention lankella
Inthink this needs to be advertised more where people will see it. Thankfully my hound can't stand the stuff
There's a chap near me who walks his Staffie to the papershop every Saturday morning where he buys a paper for himself and a bar of chocolate for the dog. He ties the dog up outside and it is slathering in anticipation when he comes back out. He then makes a great display of giving the chocolate to the dog.
definately needs to be advertised more - if you own a dog you should already know that they cant have human choc though having done your research !!! i buy doggie choc for mine so he not left out lol Media URL: http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/dog-food/pets-inc-treat-bar-chocolate-100g/invt/0221863/
Description:
Three years ago, whilst we were out, my German Shepherd ate a whole bar of Green and Blacks 70% Cocoa chocolate which I had left on the coffee table. We came home to find her looking wretched and her temperature was sky high. I immediately rang the vets who said bring her in at once, which we did. They gave her an emetic to make her sick and an injection of steroids and we had to leave her in overnight. She came home with an enourmouse bag of charcoal powder which we had to put all over her food. She was o.k. eventually. That taught me a lesson. It was a very expensive bar of chocolate.
