cl1ck, I'm sure your vet could give you certain info, and why not contact the local RSPCA group.

You don't say when you are all going but I suggest you start prepaing your pooch now as some things could take a while to sort.

But, as well I'm sure you'll get much more helpful dos and don'ts from other posters. Hope the move goes well.

Make sure you get all the necessary health checks, injections (if applicable) and paperwork completed in good time , otherwise your Pom may not be able to travel at the same time as you.

The above link mainly talks about moving from the US to the Philipines, but it provides some potentially useful phone numbers.

Artful is correct about beginning preparations as soon as possible.  In order to transfer our pets from the US to the UK, we had to get a micro chip implanted in them, get a blood test, give appropriate vaccinations, and wait at least 6 months, followed by another blood test.  We have done all that but now it is so expensive to fly our pets over, that we have not been able to do it yet.  Luckily, my parents are providing a great home for them for the time being.

Different countries have different reguations and methods of transporting pets.  I hope this helps.  Good luck!
